Best Friend has a gf, but still might like me

Question Posted Saturday October 4 2008, 9:50 pm

I have a best friend, whos a guy. He use to like me but I was to nervous to admit it so when he told my other best friend she told him i just liked him as a friend so he told he was going to try to give up. He ended up with a girlfriend the next week and I found out. Everyone said he just went out with her to get over me. They've been dating for about 4 months now, he says he loves her and stuff. I don't believe it, everytime he's with me, theres something there and we flirt a lot. His girlfriend goes to a different school. But the more we get closer, he just keeps pushing me away. I'm really depressed. I know I had my chance with him, and probably still do. The whole situation is making me depressed. Should I try to get over him or what? A few days ago we had a really deep talk about all of this, and he just found out I "used" to like him. Please help me out!

"IF YOU DONT TAKE CHANCES YOU MAY NEVER KNOW HOW AMAZING SOMETHING MIGHT BE" i love this quote and i beleive it fits your situation. i use to have the SAME problem..weird! neither of us told each other that we liked one another and then he ended up going out with another girl and they are still going out and it's been two and a half years and i still wonder what if i told him before he went out with his girlfriend. every night i regret not talking to him about it and still everytime i see him, it kills me knowing he loves someone else. he still flirts with me and even tried getting with me and as much as i wanted to, i couldnt because i knew that he would still stay with his girlfriend. We were best friends but now drifted apart because he is always with his girlfriend. i even went out with an amazing guy but it still didnt seem right because this guy wasn't the one i wanted, the one i've waited for. if you still like him, tell him and see what he says :) because i don't want you to go through the same thing i went through, it truly is one of the worst feelings, i know! hope everything works out ♥ LU

Hmm...I think it's a really good idea to tell him. But if you think it's going ot mess up what's left of your relationship then maybe you shouldn't. Then again...yuo can't go around waiting for something to happen. I mean if you told him you USED to like him then you probably should go ahead and tell him you still do. Show him a good time and let him see who he probably is still head over heels for...you.

Well if you still like him then tell him he wont be able to know if you do unless you tell him and then talk to him about how he feels about you dont just try to get over him because it wont work and staying depressed wont help either just try to talk to him and find out wats going on then if he says he doesnt feel the same way about you then you move on and it might be easier once you know if the feeling for you are there or not.
