I disagree with the columnist below.
I think the Playstation 3 is better. I have first hand experience with both systems [as my brothers have both], and the Playstation 3 is just a better system. The graphics are amazing, and it works [in my and my brothers' opinions] better than the Xbox 360.

Xbox 360 is better
It last longer, It's built better, It's a DVD player, and a CD burner as well as better game graphics.
On the other hand,
Playstation 3,
It's also a DVD player, NOT a cd burner...
Cheaper, but more likely to break quicker than an Xbox
