What are some extra-curricular activities that colleges look for/like? Im a freshman, so I just wnat to start taking stuff that will benifit me in the future.

In addition to what Jack said, it's helpful to hold an officer position in one or more clubs; i.e. vice president of Student Council, as opposed to simply being a member.

Colleges like:

NHS
Key Club
Drama Club or International Thespian Society
Debate
Yearbook
Newspaper
Student Council
or a sport of any kind

Whatever you decide to do, make sure you keep with for either all four years or as many years as you are able. A college would much rather see you involved in one or two things for 4 years than five or six things for 1 or 2 years each.
