Burning Sensation...

Question Posted Thursday September 18 2008, 7:17 pm

i just had sex for the first time a few days ago (and have had it 2 more times since).
now it feels like every 10 minutes or so i have that feeling where i have to urinate really badly. when i do go, it burns really bad and hardly anything comes out. then it goes away and it'll come back like 10 minutes later.
idk if this is normal cause the only thing i can think of is the fact that i just lost my virginity.
anything?

That sounds like a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection).
If you drink alot of cranberry juice, it should go away.

It sounds like a bladder infection, which usually happens to EVERY girl when they start having sex. Peice of advice, after you get done having sex, go pee. It will help prevent this from happening again.
You should go to the doctor, all they do is make you piss in a cup, then they'll tell you what it is and give you meds. I also suggest iodine pills to ease the pain, and cranberry pills/juice.

It sounds like a urinary tract infection.
They do make over the counter medications
for it, but they rarely work for long. You
will need an antibiotic to help cure it, and
make it stay away.

I suggest you go to a doctor. You will pee
in a cup and get an antibiotic. It is VERY
COMMON for girls to get a UTI.

Sex can bring one on, but it is by no means
the ONLY cause. So don't feel that telling mom
or seeing a doctor will announce to all that you are having sex. That just isn't true.

This can be a symptom of a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection) or a Yeast Infection. I would say it is a UTI though because they can SOMETIMES be triggered by sex. Usually UTI's are caused by bacteria however, every time I have one is because I held my pee for too long (over an hour..bad!). I suggest you drink tons of water and cranberry juice for the next few days which can help take it away. If it is not gone by then I suggest you go see a doctor because if it is caused by bacteria then it can cause problems.
