facebook profile - can you view "visitors"??

is it possible to see who is checking out your profile on facebook??

Nope.

Most networking sites like this one don't allow you to see who is checking your profile.

I'm sure someone has added some sort of application that allows you to "track" visitors, but I doubt it works.
