Period 3 days late... Could I be pregnant?

Question Posted Tuesday September 9 2008, 1:00 pm

Okay so me and my boyfriend had sex over 2 weeks ago. We used a condom and everything and so i didn't really think anything of it. The condom didn't split as far as i know but now i'm really worried.

I'm probably over reacting but my period is now 3days late (i know that probably sounds silly) But i'm really worried and paranoid about it. The last 4 months have been precise and it's a bit strange that i'm not 'on' yet.

So yea.. ANY helpful advice really would be great - at least to help put my mind at rest a little more anyway!

Thanks a lot. x

You didn't meantion your age, but being 3 days late is nothing to worry about, especially if you're young. Your period won't be "precise" until your mid-20s or so.

Instead of worrying about whether or not you could be pregnant, get tested and find out for sure. Closure will put your mind at rest more than anything we Advicenators could say to you.

Is there anything in your life that may be causing you stress? A few months ago I had a similar scare. My period was late and I was having many symptoms that seemed like pregnancy, but when my doctor ran tests it turns out that my body was just undergoing shock because of all the stress in my life. However, I would get the at home test just incase because it could also mean that your hormones are just all wound. I hope everything comes out the way you wish it to because I know that I was so relieved when I found out I wasn't pregnant because I wasn't ready yet. However, if it turns out that you are pregnant I hope everything goes ok with no complications and I would be glad to help anytime. Good Luck.

You could be pregnant, condoms aren't 100% safe. I'd wait it out a few days, just to see if your body's clock is off. If it doesn't come within the week, I'd try a test =]

Good Luck!
