Okay so my friend told me she and her boyfriend had sex like last Tuesday and she was supposed to get her period almost 6 days ago, but she hasn't. She's only 14 and CANNOT tell her parents. What should she do if she is?
I want to try to be the best of friend I can and help her through it, but I'm not sure how. Thanks.
Seriously, if your "friend" is she is going to need the help of adults to do anything about it.
Having sex is an adult responsibility. People who are dragged down by stupid concerns like "I totally CANT tell my parents about this" should not be spreading their legs in the first place.
crash_and_burn answered Tuesday September 9 2008, 7:47 pm: First off ask your friend why she isn't taking the pill if she is "brave" enough to have sex at fourteen. Whatever choice she makes you should back up if you want to be a good friend. I would tell her NOT to get an abortion, but that isn't my choice. Comrade answered Tuesday September 9 2008, 7:46 pm: 14 year olds do NOT have regular periods. It's common for periods to be several weeks late up into a woman's mid-20s. 6 days is nothing for a 14 year old. I'd be more surprised if she was "on time".
Before freaking out and causing a ton of drama, have your friend get tested. Twice. There is a good chance she isn't pregnent. If it turns out she is, ask another question once you're sure. [ Comrade's advice column | Ask Comrade A Question ]
