Different birth control works differently on different people. However, The only thing I can tell you is I was on Depo-Provera for 4 years which is the shot you get every three months. I gained a total of 60 lbs in 4 years just to answer that little quick question for you. I don't know about the other birth controls that one is basically the only one I have used besides the one I'm currently on which is the Marena "IUD" I have not gained any weight from it and it's almost been a year now.

In my experience with birth control, I've found that some of them give me harsh cravings and some aren't so bad. Do some exploring and make sure you're open with your OBGYN. Eventually you will find the right one.

the birth control makes you want to eat more, youll feel like youre hungry more and youll definetly have more cravings for the first few months. but your weight gain depends on if you give in to those cravings. but heres a website that explains everything.
