Windows Movie Maker

Question Posted Saturday September 6 2008, 12:24 am

Hey, thank you so much for the suggestion on Windows Movie Maker, I checked to see if my computer had it, and there it was under programs. Anyway every time I try to import music I'll click the import music thing, click itunes under documents and pick one of the choices for the many bands. But when I click import it says I have to write the file name. I'll write what it says for the particular band in the box but it doesn't work. Any suggestions?

You cant use music from Itunes, Windows Moviemaker doesnt view Itunes music files as media files. You have to use file types .aif, .aifc, .aiff .asf, .au, .mp2, .mp3, .mpa, .snd, .wav, and You can see them in the supported file types from the Help Topics menu.

Its a Mac vs. PC programing. There really isnt anyway I know of to resolve a way to use Itunes Music. You cant transfer music from Itunes to Windows Media Player either, I tried. But what you can do is try Newgrounds.com, which is a site that has tons of user made music that you can download for free. It may not be exactly what you want, but its a suggestion. You could try other places for free music downloads, but I dont know any other than Newgrounds.com. But make sure the file you are trying to use are media files that have the above, or what Supported File Types in Help Topics say you can use.
