I'm not even sure if convincing is the right word to use. I'm driving three hours away to the next city over, for a little vacation and I'm apprehensive about taking my car. It's a piece of crap. And the AC doesn't work and it's been in the 90s lately. I could go on forever.
Long story short, how can I even approach my Dad about letting me borrow his car? I don't even know what to say or where to begin!
They have to make their own decision based on what they've been presented with. I'm sure he will see your point and if e doesn't lend it to you will have another idea. Maybe you could get them to help you rent one too. Just ask--that's the only way to do this. [ solidadvice4teens's advice column | Ask solidadvice4teens A Question ]

He might offer suggestions, help fix the AC, give you his AAA card, or even let you borrow the car if he thinks you're trustworthy. Good luck!
