I'm 13 and I think I have just started my period. I have a little bit of redish discharge. I'm just not for sure and need a little advice.

I was outta-my-mind excited, cause I was the last of my friends to develop [I was only 11]. I'm obviously not excited about it now though. I called my mom and she asked me if I'd been "touching myself" [haha]. The first thing you should do is of course tell your mom so she could show you how to put on a pad. Like the person below me said, you may get cramps your first time, but not everyone does. For these you can take motrin, midol, aleve, tylenol' or advil. Whatever works for you. Again, tell your mom, or an older female so they can help you. [ DJzmAgUy426's advice column | Ask DJzmAgUy426 A Question ]

You will get cramps, but they shouldnt be too bad. And it wont be regular for about a year. So it could be 1-3 or 4 months til you get it again. Its just how it is. Tell your mom about it or a trusted female adult because men arent too good with this.

First you need to tell your mom you think you just started your period. Then get yourself a pad from under the sink & put it in your underwear.
If you get cramps, ask your mom to buy some Midol, and lay down with a heating pad on your stomach until the cramps lighten up. Also, stay away from greasy foods and a lot of caffeine while you are on your period. It messes with your stomach, and makes you feel terrible.
