so this guy moved to new york from colorado and he's really cute and funny, i'm kinda falling for him. the thing is he has a girl back in colorado, i guess they're pretty serious, but long distance relationships hardly ever work, so do you think i have a chance with him? i mean i definitely don't want to come in between them ..but idk. help please! :/
kristen22 answered Sunday August 31 2008, 11:08 am: I wouldn't advise you coming in between her & him. Long distance relationships CAN work if there's enough love. I should know. What you can do, is just be friends with him for now. If it's true love he has with this girl in Colorado, then don't come in between that. In due time, you'll know if there going to work out or not. Most long distance relationships if there not going to work out then that will happen in the first month of seperation because that is when it is harder for the couples to be apart. You don't want to drive him away from his girl and then make him regret it and dump you just to go back to her. Then you end up with a broken heart so back to the old but very true saying...WHAT IS MENT TO ME WILL ALWAYS FIND A WAY ღ [ kristen22's advice column | Ask kristen22 A Question ]

But at the moment just get in with him to become really good friends. Wait till he starts talking to you more about this girl, to see how serious they really are.
Long distance relationships hardly ever work. Expecially still in highschool, or whatever grade your in. Colledge some try to do it, but they usually do not work out because we do find other people.
Keep flirting with him to a minimal as possible, considering he is still dating someone and you might really scare him off. But make sure he knows that your 'somewhat' into him. Or atleast interested, and don't become like REALLY good friends with him because from experience dating really good guy friends tend to be awkward because even though you might think there hot, and really fun to be around-- when it comes to the actual Boyfriend Girlfriend part.. it doesn't work out. So make sure you flirt but not to much. Dont be all touchy because Ive seen girls be all touchy and then the guy\and other guys realise that she might be 'easy'.--sorry i have a friend going through this whole "She's a slut" thing right now and you just wanna avoid that.
I hope everything works out the way you want, and if you need anymore help from this guy my Inbox is always open.
