belly button infection My belly button was pierced just yesterday. It was fine yesterday, but today its red & swollen, but worst of all...around the hole, its black.
So I'm preeetttyyy sure its infected. What should I do?!?!

It's supposed to be swollen and tender. If there is pus secreting and it's a color other than white (like greenish), then that's a sign of infection.. but I'm no doctor.
Don't take it out because the hole will close up and seal the infection under your skin. Leave the ring in and hopefully you cleaned it properly. Don't overclean it!!
Go back to where you got it pierced, or go to your doctor. If you go to the piercer, all they can identify if an infection is present. The rest is taken care of by a doctor who will prescribe medication and further care. ]
whatever you do...DO NOT take it out or you will cause an abcess. that is a closed wound with puss inside it and it can make you sick or get worse!
an infection like that needs to have the jewlery left in so that it can drain properly, but i would suggest going back to whoever peirced it and ask them what to do.....
oh yeah, and make sure you take proper care of it and clean it how you are required to...
