first day at a new school my school years about to start and i will be going to a new school this year (and i'm a sophmore... going to be) and im getting nervous because all i can think about is lunch on the first day!!! i am one to be really shy, but once i get talking im realy friendly and outgoing, but im scared because what if i dont meet someone that i click with before lunch? i don't know what to do, because i would hate to be sitting alone and the fact that everyone will notice. but like, im not a person to go and ask if i can sit with them.. but maybe i'll have to?? UGHHH i don't knowwwwwwww. any other realistic choices?

What i did was sit in a corner and sit whille everyone played (i moved in first grade) and then everyone started talking to me so what id do is at lunch sit at a table by your self with either your head down or read a book someone we'll end up wanting to talk to you ]
dont worry...you will have plenty of time to find your friends or meet new ones before lunch, i know this from experience you have nothing to worry about ]
Before you go to lunch that day..start looking for new people in your classes and if you find someone walk with them to lunch and start talking to them..eventually you guys will talk in line together and nonchalently just sit where they sit..this has always worked for me when i go to a new school..eventually when you meet one person you will meet all their friends..and also..talk about how you dont know anyone and youre nervous about the situation..and start talking about what you think about the new school..if you do this..i guarentee you..you will make new friends immediatly..be yourself and be outgoing and youre good to go..good luck to you! ]
