lipgloss tips and a what -- brush?

Question Posted Thursday August 14 2008, 7:05 pm

whats up with what i heard about BRUSHing your lips with a tooth brush to take off..... what.. take off what? i forgot

can anyone tell me whats the deal with the tooth brush and your LIPS?

also, does this trick work for lipstick:
"if you want your lip color long lsting, apply your lipstick/lipgloss and blot it with blotting paper & then re-apply"

does that even work.. isnt it a waste of lipgloss?

Another way to exfoliate your lips is to just use a pinch of sugar and some water. Better than brushing and vaseline, in my opinion.

It's to exfoliate your lips. Apply vaseline, then brush your lips, and rinse off. Apply a little more vaseline to keep em soft. Works really well.

And that only works for lipstick, if you want a lip stain kind of effect.

take off the dead skin cells so that your lipstick does cake and your lip gloss goes on smooth. after you brush your lips, apply a lot of chapstick & you'll have really soft lips.

mmm. well for lipstick that trick DEFINITELY works cause the lipstick gets INTO your lips. like it's not just a layer on top, so the color lasts longer. it works for lipgloss less often cause lip gloss comes on and off easily. it might work if the color is really different than your natural lip color, but most girls don't go really drastic with their lip colors cause it looks unnatural.

i also wanted to add that it works cause you're rubbing the color into your lips, not wiping it off. works better for lipstick as i mentioned before
