I never go #2

Question Posted Wednesday August 13 2008, 2:37 pm

I go days without pooping. Sorry to be gross.. but it's definitely not healthy.

Any suggestions on regulating my digestive system?

When I was a recon scout in the Army during the Viet Nam conflict, when I was on patrol even for a week, I rarely had a bowel movement or urinated. When I got back to camp or to the barracks, then I relieved myself of all of it.

The same was when I was driving semi-trucks, I seldom had to urinate the entire trip whether I was driving or in the sleeper while my co-driver drove, even though I drank maybe two gallons of water a day! But when I got to the truck stop, I had to go!

I do not know your diet or your habits, so I cannot comment on your eating and waste-passing situation. So long as you are not uncomfortable and are not forcing yourself to hold it in, for the most part, I would think it is utterly natural. I REALLY DO NOT THINK YOU CAN FORCE YOURSELF TO NOT DEFICATE, and if you do hold your urine in it will begin to ache and hurt like hell because you are not supposed to hold it in if it wants to come out!

If you are uncomfortable, then go see a doctor and tell him or her all about this. Otherwise, I see no problem per-se.

Activia works really well!

My sister had the same problem as you for years, and once she tried Activia, her digestive system was regulated within a week.

But it may make your stomach feel not-so-good for the first couple days..just a warning! :)

you have IBS and need more fiber. IBS is irritable bowel syndrome.

try adding benefiber to your foods and drinks and you should do fine. not many foods are extremely fiber-rich, so try benefiber
