No finish and make sure you play the orchestra very well before you try something else.

Hi
If You Think You Are Ready To learn Vibrato Then Have A Go, To Most People It Is Very Tricky To Learn But You Never Know You Might Pick It Up Easy.

People Learn At Their Own Pace But It You Take Your Time You Will Get It, So If You Know You Can Do It Then Go For It!!

Hope I Helped Love **Leopard-Print-Bow x

From what you've given me, it sounds like now's the perfect time to start learning. Vibrato takes some people a while to grasp, though for others it comes reasonably quickly. In my case, I had a major orchestra audition coming up and I pretty much had to use vibrato, so out of necessity I was able to do it. That was years ago, however, and I still find myself tweaking little bits. So just like anything else on the violin really, it can always improve.

While you're learning, make sure you're not compromising any other techniques. Make sure you keep proper form and intonation. The highest pitch of the vibration should be that note, and the lowest should be about a half step lower.

I know some people who've used a book called Viva Vibrato and had great results. It's sold at most major music stores as well as online.

Some references I'm fond of include:
Violin Master Class: Vibrato (beginner to advanced) [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
Violin Vibrato (taught by a 13 (?) year old girl, is very straight to the point) [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

Good luck! And if you have any more questions related to the violin, feel free to drop me a message.

definitely. vibrato helps u express musically. it will really help you in the future. i recommend that you start with hand vibrato. if you know how to do that, then other forms of vibrato will come naturally c:
good luck!
