Local performing arts theaters! Where can I find one?

Question Posted Tuesday August 12 2008, 11:07 am

I want to be an actress and i can't find any theaters that have musicals/plays comming up for me to participate in.

I looked in the phone book and online but it came up blank. i'm out of options where can i find some?

I live in Illinois about 30 min. from Chicago, in Naperville. So i don't really wnat a theater in Chicago cuz I'm only 14 and i can't drive out there just for practice or productions. Is there any around Naperville? My zip code is 60565.

Have you tried the Rialto in Joliet? If not, I'd definitely try there. Other than that, I think Lewis University has a few acting programs going on. I'm not sure. Try doing some more research.

Good luck =]

check out christian youth theater. you don't have to be a christian to perform in their company and they have a lot of performing opportunities throughout the united states. there are six different regions in the chicago region/northern illinois and they each offer a variety of classes and shows for youth 4-18.
