wash ur brushes ... REALLLLLY?

do i have to wash my make up brushes the frst tym i get them?


can i not?

You don't have to.

If the brush came in a plastic cover, then I wouldn't wash it, but if it was out in a jar where the bristles were exposed, I'd wash it. Brushes that are left uncovered can collect dust or germs when other people touch them.

If you have a brush that will go close to your eyes, like for eyeliner, then I would definitely wash it.

Don't forget that you should wash your brushes periodically, maybe once a month, depending on how heavily you use them. This rids the brushes of bacteria build-up and rotting makeup. Plus, the makeup will show up better.

You dont have to. But I think some people do it because they are afraid of the bacteria it might have. Kinda like how people wash new underwear before they put them on.
