If the brush came in a plastic cover, then I wouldn't wash it, but if it was out in a jar where the bristles were exposed, I'd wash it. Brushes that are left uncovered can collect dust or germs when other people touch them.
If you have a brush that will go close to your eyes, like for eyeliner, then I would definitely wash it.
Don't forget that you should wash your brushes periodically, maybe once a month, depending on how heavily you use them. This rids the brushes of bacteria build-up and rotting makeup. Plus, the makeup will show up better. [ ellegirl606's advice column | Ask ellegirl606 A Question ]
