texting-how to convince my mom

Question Posted Monday August 11 2008, 12:04 pm

Okay so I first got texting a few months ago, and my mom and dad gave me the 250 texts/month deal with verizon and let's just say i went about 1000 over and my bill was 350$. i paid it all off since then and have tried to be more responsible since they blocked my texting..i know it would be easier with unlmtd texting and i told my mom i could pay the 10$ a month charge for it. my dad is fine with me getting it but my mom is off/on about it. how do i convince her without being all annoying and begging-like? thanks!!!

haha every teen has this problem when they first get a phone...Heres what you have to do. Kiss up to you mom. Do everything she says and more. If she doesnt let you go out with some friends react by saying "okay" shell soon notice a change in attitude and therefore, she'll think you deserve it...

I've got unlimited texting
I can honestly say I would have went over anything if I didn't
Teens these day text ALOT more than they talk
Tell your mom that
It's actually very very smart to get unlimited and it saves money incase you ever DO go over
Which, you prob would do again
I hope I helpped [=

make sure your mom knows you're serious about paying the $10. give it to her in advance. tell your mom why you want it. for example you could say it will end up cheaper in the end just incase you do go over. tell her when you check your usage, its not always up to date so you can't tell when you have any left or not.
other than that, id say make sure you do whats asked the first timee. cause when you come back and tell them all the stuff you've been doing, they'll have something recent to base it on.

hope i helped !
