I have been looking for a job all summer but all i get is im not old enough. Im not sure what places hire at 15 and a half and i also wanted to know how old you have to be for Jcpenny, Kohls, and taco bell.
If you have other ideas for jobs please let me know.
Sweetnsourxx answered Monday August 11 2008, 10:37 am: I wouldn't apply for a job at any chain or franchise places (like taco bell, McDonalds, Jcpenny, etc.)because, like the person below me said, child labor laws make it so that they can only hire 16 year olds. I think you should try for small, individually run, local businesses. Maybe a coffee shop (not Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts, though) or a little deli. It depends on what businesses are in your town, really.

Any major corporation, (including JCPenneys, Kohls, and Taco Bell) are required by law to wait until you are 16 to hire you. The only places you may be able to find a job are smaller shops. Mom and Pop type places are sometimes able to get around the Labor Laws, but at 15 and a half, I would say be patient... Once you start working you never will stop probably, so enjoy the little bit of time you have left free. [ 0xymoron's advice column | Ask 0xymoron A Question ]
