tattoo's, job prospects

Question Posted Sunday August 10 2008, 10:31 am

Ive been told that tattoo's ruin job prospects. However, i allready have a couple of tattoo's, and want more, BUT, i want to be either a psychologist, or lawyer when older? so will tattoo's prevent me from doing that?

It depends where they are, like everyone has said.
If you have them on your arms, or are planning to get them on your arms and you really wanted them, you could probably just wear long sleeves or shirts with sleeves that cover them up.
If you want to wear makeup they also make a brand called DermaBlend that is supposed to be amazing with covering up everything (even used to cover up tattoos).
Here are some before and after pictures:

I've also read some reviews about it, and so far they're all good and great for covering up tattoos that you can't have showing at a certain time, so that may be something to look into if you'd like.

But if you don't want to go through having to put makeup on your tattoos then just wear clothes that cover them if you're willing to.
If not, then maybe reconsider where you put them?

It depends where you have them. I know that if my lawyer or psyhologist walked in with tattoos on their brests or arms I wouldn't wnat them to either represent me or help me. Make sure that it's the right disicion when you get one. Think about the place and wether or not you'll be able to cover it up.

It depends where they're at and if you'll be able to cover them when working/finding a job. It can be seen as unprofessional and inappropriate. Depending where your tattoos are, it could effect those wishes.
