leather bracelet

Question Posted Friday August 8 2008, 4:56 pm

My dog recently found a leather bracelet somewhere in the house that has been missing for months. It was really moldy and very stiff. I washed it and let it soak in water with scented baby oil. It dried stiff again. I was wondering if there is anything I can do to make it soft again so i can wear it, thanks

Forget Justine's answer!

There is a very old leather product called Neatsfoot Oil. You can get it at any hunting goods or sports store.

It is used to waterproof and soften leather, such as boots and gloves or equipment pouches. It's been around a long time because it WORKS!
