Do not put any of your regular foundation on your nose. Instead apply L'Oreal's powdercreme. You might need to apply two coats of the powdercreme. A tiny bit goes a long way, so only use a pin head drop each time on your nose. Let it set a minute before applying the second coat. The product states that it lasts 12 hours, but it depends on the heat, humidity and what activity you're doing. But, you probably won't need to reapply any for several hours at least.
Unfortunately, the product does not contain any SPF (sun protection factor). So, use a moisturizer with sunscreen underneath your makeup.
If you prefer a pressed powder, product users at www.totalbeauty.com rate Clinique Stay-Matte Sheer Pressed Powder and MAC Blot Powder Pressed very high for long lasting natural matte finish for oily areas. [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
Aucunu answered Friday August 8 2008, 12:46 pm: Your nose is shiny because of all the oils. You may consider looking for a face wash or lotion that is specifically made for oily skin. It will help combat this shininess.
Also, you could go to the nearest make-up store (sephora is great if there's one nearby) and ask someone at the counter what he or she suggests for hiding the shine. Most likely you'll be given an anti-shine powder. That should help! [ Aucunu's advice column | Ask Aucunu A Question ]
