Lastnight my mother got a call from walmart saying that my 18 year old sister had stolen a $4 pair of earings. This was the first time she's ever done something like this,and i reallly cannot believe she did! Im really worried that she may go to jail. What's going to happen to her!?

I don't think she'll go to jail. But because she is 18, she probably will have to do community service [like somebody said below].
Since it bothered you, just let her know that you're very disappointed in her. But make sure to hear her side of the story and not to just make her out to be the bad guy. Give her a chance to explain, and then see how you're feeling.

well considering it wasn't theft over 5000$ she will get a slap on the wrist or she will get community hours but more then likely no jail time! Is this her first offence?

One of my friends did that same thing before at walmart and they made her go to court and she ended up only having to do community service hours for a long time but she didn't go to jail. Hope this helps!
