switched birth conrols I was on Loestrin 24 for 3 months, and decided to switch to YAZ this month. I am just starting my second week of the new birth control, and I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend last night. Is it possible to get pregnant because it is the first month of a new birth control?

It's highly unlikely. Both pills have the same hormones in them, Yaz has a different form of estrogen, however.
After a week, it's often long enough to be protected from pregnancy [depending on when you started], though most doctors advise you to wait a month to be on the safe side. Since you've been on birth control for awhile I'd say you're fine. If you miss your period, take a pregnancy test. But try not to stress about it, because stress only messes up your cycle.

It's possible to get pregnant at any given time with unprotected sex.
Normally, your doctor tells you to wait about a month or two so that your body gets used to the new dosage of hormones.
You might want to check with your doctor to be sure if it's safe or not.
