I'm also on Ortho Tri-Cylen Lo.
The side effects are pretty different for all girls. Several of my friends take this type of bc, too. Some gain weight-some lose weight.
I actually didn't gain or lose..but my boobs did get a bit bigger haha :o) Ohhh and i'm not sure if you've been told this yet or not..but if get on any kind of antibiotic while taking the pill..be EXTRA safe when you have sex. Meds can really screw the birth control up!

Hope this helped.

The official site isn't working [on my computer anyway] so here's some info from www.drugs.com:

Common, less sever side effects [ones you'll most likely actually experience]
- mild nausea, vomiting, bloating, stomach cramps;
- breast pain, tenderness, or swelling;
- freckles or darkening of facial skin;
- increased hair growth, loss of scalp hair;
- changes in weight or appetite;
- problems with contact lenses;
- vaginal itching or discharge;
- changes in your menstrual periods; or
- headache, nervousness, dizziness, tired feeling

Some women gain weight, others don't. Sometimes they even lose weight. It'll only be a few pounds if you do gain anything and isn't that noticeable at all.
