my boyfriend's little sister had lice, and he had it, but got rid of it. he came over my house yesterday when he didn't have it, and now he has it again today, when were supposed to hang out. were still hanging out because he's putting vinigar in his hair, and stuff. is there a possibility that i could have it reallllly bad? or even get it at all. i used a lice shampoo once i found out he had it, but i havent used it since.

If your boyfriend had them and spent very much time with you, you probably got them. If your boyfriend and his sister got rid of them and you had them and didn't know it, you most likely gave them back and he probably reinfected his sister. They can infest furniture, beds, pillows, and anywhere else people shed skin cells. That's what they eat. So all of you need to find everybody who has them, use the shampoo and spray the furniture, beds, pillows and wash all the clothes that you have had on and all the clothes those clothes have touched. I know this sounds big but they will get worse if you don't be aggressive. Also you need to find out who his sister is getting them from. If she gets them again the cycle starts all over again. My kids got them from their friends in school and it took us about 3 months to finally break the cycle. There was this girl friend of theirs that we didn't suspect. We watched to see who scratched their head a lot and that's how you can tell! [ mikesadvice's advice column | Ask mikesadvice A Question ]
