I personally think fashion this year is better than it's been in years. Some great trends right now include:
Modern Hippie/Bohemian:
Bell bottom jeans, vintage jewelry, tie dye, and flowy shirts and making a come back. Ask your parents what they wore to Grateful Dead concerts, and dress accordingly.

knitted beanie looking hats
