field hockey try outs 15/f, going to be a sophomore
field hockey tryouts start next week, tuesday august 5th. i'm running everyday, trying to eat healthy, etc. i am really really really nervous though, and i was wondering what i should do the day before tryouts? should i run still? if anyone has any tips for advice please give them to me, i'm trying to do everything to prepare.

im going to be a sophomore too and i also have been playing field hockey for the past 4 years i love it so much! anyway, for tryouts it sounds to me like your starting off great, running is deffinetly going to help you the most, i dont know if you have a stick and a ball but simple things you can work on alone like your hits and dribbling just the basics ya know? that will also help you. The day before practice I think you should just relax, don't be nervous.. looks like youre on the right track so if you keep it up you should be fine! good luck :) ]
Although I don't do field hockey, for the sports I DO try out for, I don't really run the day before tryouts. Usually I just continue to eat healthy, hydrate by drinking water and nothing else (soda, juice, etc), stretch a lot, and as the other person said, just relax. :) ]
The day before tryouts you need to:
rest..
drink plenty of fluids..
elevate your legs..
mainly just relax..
no stress..
hope I helped ]
