ductape_n_roses answered Friday August 1 2008, 2:10 pm: 1) We would appreciate it if you don't use profanities on here, especially in cases where there are no major emotional distress problems going on. Deciding over a straightener, in my opinion, does not count as a major emotional distress problem.
2) I've hear of CHI but that's about it. I have a straightener that heats up in a minute (no joke), has a heat dial from 1-25, it's slim, the cord attached to the straightener itself turns 360 degrees so when you curl your hair, it won't get tangled up, and it curls really well and I have thick hair so it usually takes me 1hr and 30min to 2hr to curl my hair with a curler but with this straighter put at 25, I can get my hair done in 30 to 60min. It's cheap and you can get it at Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, CVS, etc. It's from Revlon and it's a 1" Ceramic Straightener. I bought it for $20-$25 and it's working pretty darn nifty. AnonymousAdvisor answered Thursday July 31 2008, 1:21 pm: I would recommend CHI. I myself don't have one, but one of my friends does, and she uses it very often, her hair is extremely curly. It doesn't frizz, break off or burn her hair... and it doesn't take long to straighten.

Teza answered Thursday July 31 2008, 12:42 pm: I would recommend the CHI. I personally don't have, yet, but I have used it many times and it does work very well. You don't have to go over the same piece of hair more than twice to get it straight and even though it's pricey, it's worth it :) [ Teza's advice column | Ask Teza A Question ]
