I have a question about guys...

Question Posted Monday July 28 2008, 11:42 pm

15/f~~~~
Now, I'm not trying to stereotype here so please don't assume that.
But, I was just wondering:
Would a teenage guy's friends really make fun of him if he was in love with his girlfriend? What I mean is, would his friends mock him for being in love?
I just seem to see it all the time in the media. And yes, I know, you shouldn't believe all that the media tells you. I just wanted to know really if this happens.
Sorry if this is a dumb question. I'm just curious that's all.
And I'd really like to hear from a guy. That's who I'm directing this question to. I don't think it would help much if a girl answered...
Thanks!

Normally it isn't as bad as the movies depict it. Yes, guys are brought up to not show emotion, but I wasn't brought up like that. I would never make fun of a friend because they were in a relationship, and I don't surround myself with the type of people that would. It really depends on the guy, but mostly they won't pick on the relationship because they have more maturity than they let on.

Well they would make fun of him sometimes but not seriously because they are friends. A guy is in love with me and none of his friends make fun of him seriously sometimes they'll joke around and say hes "whipped" but thats it. One of my friends was making fun of his friend because hes in love but since theyre friends he doesnt make fun of him to his face he just says if he wasnt my friend i would break them up. since youre 15 guys start gettins mature now and they really wont make fun of another guy for being in love.

Im not a guy, but, a guy is in love with me.. so hopefully this answer will help a little bit :).
A Guys Mates, I know nobody ever believes this, cos, you think it cant be true! But, His Mates, are JEALOUS. XD If Mates Make fun of a guy, Its because They're Jealous, because they think he's getting some/Are Lonely themselves/Know they cant get anybody. Those are all the people thats ever made fun of my boyfriend. (Not many People Make fun of him although, Cos i think his attitude scares them:P). But, it varies. It depends how many of his mates are lonely or not XD! Lots of my guys mates have girlfriends, and surprise surprise, those are the ones who never make fun of him, and he talks about all our relationship issues to. Guys falling in love are less stereotypical than girls falling in lvoe cos The world Expects a girl to be in love, but the world expects a boy to be a player, and thats portrayed in the media and stuff. But it happens just as much in boys as in girls and ti really varies on who the guys mates are :).

Some guys do have really immature friends, that do unfortunately act like total jackasses when they see friends of theirs showing any kind of emotion. Because as guys they're brought up to think that showing emotions, shows weakness. But, some guys actually don't make fun of other guys for being in love or showing emotions, it just all depends on the people.
