You can lose 11 pounds in like 11 days. It's called fasting. However, as soon as you go off that fast you'll gain all that weight back and probably more because your metabolism has slowed down.

In 18 days, that's roughly about 3 weeks, you might lose from 3-6 pounds depending on how hard you work to do so. Here is the run down of losing weight 101.

1. 3500 calories is 1 pound of fat. So get your BMR (how much your body burns off in a regular day) by using a BMR calculator (you can find one if you google one) and subtract 500 calories from your BMR. Now you can only put in the number of calories that results from your BMR-500. So say your BMR is 2000 and when you subtract 500, you get 1500. You can eat only 1500 calories or you can eat like 2000 calories and burn off 500 calories through exercise, or you can eat 1700 calories and burn 200 calories through exercise--whatever you do, it's your choice. Just be smart about it. Then guess what, 500 calories burned everyday for a week = 3500 calories burned per week which means 1 pound lost every week.

2. Eat healthy. Avoid high calorie, high fat foods. Avoid junk foods including sodas (regular or diet), pizzas, fries, burgers, etc. Stick with veggies, fruits, lean meat, and whole grains that are cooked with little to no oil (boiling, steaming, broiling, baking, roasting, grilling, etc.) Remember that 250 calories of soup is better than 250 calories of chips. Avoid empty calories, which basically again means no junk food.

3. Exercise 3-7 times a week, all lasting 30min or longer. Run at your own pace and keep moving for 30min or longer because it takes 30min to make your body start using stored fat. Add in weight lifting and toning exercises to help build muscle because more muscles equal more calorie burning. But do not, under any circumstances, push your limit or do more than you can handle because you'll regret it the day after while you're laying in bed too sore to move. Gradually build up to what you can do.

Good luck

Not healthily possible.

If you want to get rid of the things on the sides of your hips, you should check out a bellydance class or video. I've found that the mayas (or vertical figure 8's) really trim down your love handles. Or regular shimmying would help.

Coupled with a healthy diet, it should trim you down in a few weeks or months.

cheers,
stargirl
