I don't use Covergirl for a semi-trivial reason: it's scented and smells disgusting, like old ladies.

Loose powder is what makeup artists use. You can also use a little bit under your lipgloss to make it stay, and dust some under your eyes (brush it off when you're done) while applying eyemakeup to stop flaking eyeshadow from messing up your whole face. I recommend L'Oreal Bare Naturale translucent powder- it comes with it's own brush. Sold at drugstores, Target, and Walmart. Maybelline makes a good loose powder as well.

If you have shiny/oily skin you may also want to carry around a pressed powder with you. They're good for touchups. Try Revlon ColorStay.
