Well I'm not a rap listener. But I do know of a tool that you could use to discover artists similar to what you like. It's called Pandora Radio ([Link](Mouse over link to see full location)) and all you have to do is sign up and then follow the instructions to create a radio station. What happens is you enter in the artist for the base of the radio station, and then it will play one song by that artist, and then the rest of the songs will be from various artist similar to the base artist.
I use it all the time. It's always nice to see if you like something rather than depending on people who don't really know what you're into. =]
