4) When completed, close the antivirus software and reopen it again.
5) Press the "SCAN" box
6) Then press NORTON POWER ERASER (NPE)
7) Install it if it is required
8)run norton power eraser
9) Press the "SCAN FOR RISKS" BOX
10) wait untill scan is finished.
11) Then (the program might requires for a restart ) if not just press "FIX NOW" and then restart your computer. If it needs restarting before that , you should restart your computer and wait until the NORTON POWER ERASER pop-up
.Then press "fix now " and restart your computer. [ konpik's advice column | Ask konpik A Question ]

Make sure you have your Windows Product key at hand. If you don't have it, you might make your computer unusable AND without any of your data.
If your computer came with a "Windows XP install disk" insert it into your computer, press enter when it asks, and follow the instructions. If it asks you which partition to use and you have exactly two options, pick the one with the largest number of bytes. If it asks you which partition to use and you have three or more options, ask a professional or delete all of them and then select "unpartitioned space". The second option might delete more data than you intend.
If your computer came with a "Windows Vista install disk", do as above except click "install" instead of pressing enter.
If your computer came with some sort of repair disk, insert it into your computer and follow the instructions.
If your computer didn't come with an install or repair disk, you lost it, or you don't have a product key, you can not reinstall windows. You will need to buy a Windows Vista or XP install disk. XP is only available online, and will be unobtainable in a few months.
