Needing to lose some weight.

Question Posted Sunday July 20 2008, 7:57 pm

I'm 22 weeks & four days pregnant to be exact.
Before I got pregnant, I only weighed 94 pounds & I was around 5'2.
I'm now 116 pounds, I've gained a total of 22 pounds since I've been pregnant which isn't good. All my weight has gone straight to my butt, back & my hips.
Its really scaring me into thinking I'll be really big after I have the baby.
I need to know what I can do to lose some weight, My doctor also believes I need to go on a no card diet.
The average woman only gains 25 to 35 pounds through out the whole pregnancy, None of this is baby weight.
It's the weight I'm going to keep after the baby, If I don't lose it.
My baby weighs right at a pound right now, according to my appointment before last.

Any Ideas?
Thanks much.
=)

Hey dear, this website: sparkpeople.com is amazing. I promise you, it will help you lose weight. It's completely free, you enter your weight & height, and how much weight you want to lose, and it calculates how many calories you should eat per day, and what exercise you should fit in. It even gives you meal plans to follow, if you don't want to make your own. It's excellent, good luck!

xoxo Marilyn

4-5 small meals a day made up of alot of fuit, vegetables, some starch (potatoes, pasta etc) and once a day or every 2 days, have some red meat about the size of your palm.
Only have wholemeal and grainy bread or if you have white bread pair it with tuna or chicken as if will quicken the digestion of the white bread.
Snack on unsalted nuts, strawberries, raspberries or blueberries. Drink lots or water.
Go for a brisk walk for about 45 minutes every day.
You can do 20 minutes in the morning and 35 in the evening if you like, to break it up.
As long as you work off more calories than you ate, you will lose weight.
Perhaps you should start counting calories but DO NOT cut calories out of your diet, exercise is key.

Hope this helped
