Well I think you should tell your parents because getting caught it much much worse. Embarassing too and they will probably kick the guy out and you will never see him again. It's time: 5 months already passed and they don't know! Well I think you should tell them the truth...not the WHOLE truth like "I've been dating him for 5 months behind your back" yeah...not good, lol. But tell them you've been seeing him and you like him if its okay if you two can date. Are your parents overly protected? If they aren't, they should try to understand. Remind them that you will be careful and such. Good luck!

Well, you don't have to tell your parents that you make out with him for hours, but I think it would be smart to tell them that you do have a boyfriend. Because you don't want them to be surprised when you go on dates or whatever. You didn't say your age in the question, so I'm assuming you're not 9 or anything, but make them think that it's just a cute little crush and surely they won't get mad or anything (unless you have an arranged marriage, which is also unlikely).

If your really scared they won't let you see him anymore.
I wouldn't advice ever telling them.
Stay at public places or the movies, Somewhere your parents will never come.

I think if your relationship means that much, you shouldnt tell your parents and just be careful where you make out or do things that "just friends" dont do. But if your parents' trust is more important to you, then tell them. The same thing happened to me a few months ago,but i didnt tell my parents we where going out. It all worked out good becuz i was careful of wat i did around them. Hope i helped and GOOD LUCK!! =)
btw you have to figure that your parents might not have a problem with you dating since you have been such close friends! =)

I say tell your parents. Keeping secrets from your parents is NEVER a good idea. Being honest opens so many doors. I've been honest with my parents my entire life and they've always been pretty lenient with what I do, granted I call them when I get somewhere, and call when I'm leaving, etc.

Maybe if you show your parents some maturity by letting them know, they may reconsider letting you see him. You'd be very surprised ;]
