hi I like this 20 year old guy and he likes me I'm 16 in october. I really like him and he likes me. he is scared of what people will think if we date and the law my parents his ect ect ect. what I need to know is what can I say to him to make him ask me to be his girlfriend. thank you

I was 15 and dated a 21 year old, so forgive me if this sounds as if I'm telling you what to do. I'm 19 years old sugar, I've been there. You may think it's cool that an older guy likes you but TRUST ME because I have gone through it you have nothing in common with a 20 year old boy. You guys are at two completely different stages of your lives, and he more than likely will try to take advantage of the fact you like him so much. It's not a good idea, if you're a virgin, and you do end up dating this guy GUARANTEED he will take your virginity and more than likely break up with you soon after.
Like I said, I have BEEN THROUGH THIS, this has happened to me and I know how older guys tend to think. Its not smart to date him, but I know that in the end you're going to do what you please. Just be careful.

i definitely understand what you're going through. two years ago i was 14 yrs. old and i liked this eighteen year old guy. I liked him alot....a lot like love. But because of the sagatory rape issue i chose not to get in a relationship with him. I wouldn't want him to get arrested even though i still wanted to be with him. You should just wait until you're eighteen. I know that's a long time but it's better to be safe than sorry!

Age is just a number. Tell him that. Think about it. What are your parents ages? Chances are that they are about 2 or 3 years different. My mom is 45 and my dad is 46- they're close- but let's pretend my dad is a 9th grader- well my mom would be an 8th grader. Is it weird that they're married? No. So does the situation change because they're younger? No. And if someone or anyone thinks that- they are just a bubbling idiot and they deserve to be smacked across the face. Only kidding. =D. But seriously, it isn't weird. If both of you are fine with it- then who CARES what the heck other people think? I certainly don't care that you're dating a 7th grader- age is just a number, again, and its only odd if you're a 9th grader dating a 45 year old man. =D.
