A tough one

Question Posted Monday July 7 2008, 12:18 am

Im 15 and I have been going out with a guy on and off for 2 months now, and I really care about him and he really cares about me, he tells me he loves me and I think I love him, but he has some major mental problems from his past childhood, and me and him have some issues. So I just found out that my best friend Davids friend Likes me and hes a sweet guy and he doesnt haven mental problems, My problem is that My current bf the one with the problems is thinking about moving back to Maine with his mother, and the other guy livs in MA and I live in NH so either way if I went out with either one of them it would be a long distance relationship. Im not sure what to do at all! I really need someone to tell me which one of these guys to go for!! im just a confused women!

Hey,
Who you want to date is up to you. You really have to pick who you like/can see yourself with most. But, if you like them evenly then stick with the guy you're with. That's the thing about relationships- you have to pass up some perfectly good guys. You're in a commitment. However if this guy you're with's mental issues are a problem or they bother you then i would break if off. I've dated some really nice guys with really not nice issues, and trust me unless you're really serious it's not worth it. Regarding a long distance relationship: i am currently in one and let me tell you- it is NOT easy. Lucky for me we're pretty serious about each other and we can both trust each other. If you're not serious with either of them, or you can't trust them then a long distance relationship is gonna be too hard.
Anyway, just remember that these guys are here for you, so just figure out which makes you happiest. Good luck!

Why do you have to date either of them? Why not just be long distance friends with both of them, that way you are open to a relationship to someone in your hometown.

In my opinion, long-term relationships usually don't work. Your only 15 years old and you have your whole life ahead of you. Have fun while you can!
