I read what you replyed to that other person about them losing their friend to a boyfriend. My situation is sort of the same, except.. she dumped me for my brother. I can't stand it. I do feel happy for her, but now im left in the dust. I have no other friends because they are all into drugs and whatnot,im just not into that stuff. What can I do? They (my bff and her bf) are always together, smootching, hanging out, flirting, whatever, when i am around. I have talked to her,she says she misses me as a friend and yet she doesnt want to do anything with me to bring us back together. We were best friends since forever, she even said. My question really is,how can i make new friends (i know the whole role about bein yourself) in a short sorta while? I am such a loner now. Please help.

Katlyn answered Saturday June 21 2008, 10:16 pm: K well first thanxs for asking me and well my advice to u is to introduce yourself to kids in your class or in the hallway and ignore the fact that your friend is not wanting u as a friend you have to be your own person because not everyone has a friend so if you cant make friends then be a friend to someone else im sure if you speak out and comunicate with others and talk about the things they talk about then they will except you as their friend and remember a friend who you considered your best friend isnt really your best friend if they dumped you and you should have no room for that person in your life so forget her and move on. I'll always be here if you need me ask away good luck!! and think positive. [ Katlyn's advice column | Ask Katlyn A Question ]
