hey! i totally understand how you feel. i had a really hard time putting it in for my first time and it hurt so bad, but i just kept on tryin nd tryin.

put some kind of lubricant on it so that itll go in easier. also be sure to insert it inside once ur still heavy, cause it hurts soo bad to take it out while its dry!

also, try to get the smallest tampons available, which would be the ones that hold the least.

dont worry, itll hurt the first couple of times, but after that youll get used to it and itll be fine!

just keep trying to put it in, because once its inside you wont even be able to feel it!

good luck!

The absolute key is to be as relaxed as possible, and to not think about it so much; do NOT think about the discomfort you have previously experienced.
Try it during or after a shower, or whenever you feel more relaxed. Hey, wake up at some random time at night and try- see if it works.. (Since you'd be sleepy and relaxed.. less likely to get nervous, and eager to go back to sleep).
Putting some sort of lubricant on the applicator helps a lot too.
After you've done it at least once, that confidence should help you as well..
Don't worry, just keep trying. I didn't try using tampons until I was 16! It took me a relatively short time to be able to use them though.. It was easier than I thought..
And it's such a relief!

Hey, my name is Faith42 and I think I can help!

I think you should stick with the simple soulution
"Pads". They are very east to use and safer than
tampons. Did yo hear about the TSS (Toxic shock Syndrome)? If, you didn't it's a deasies (sorry about spelling :/)that yo can get from tampons if you keep them in long~!
If, you want to still use them, ask your mother if
she can buy you diffrent types of tampons, so you
can see if thier is a diffrent type of a tampon that has a applicator that is easy to put in .

I hope I helped,
Faith42:)

The first few times you put in & take out, it may hurt/feel funny. But eventually, you get used to it.
If not I suggest asking your mom/doctor.

hey :]

right well entering a tampon is a easy task when you know how to put it in properly.

just use your thumb and middle finger to hold the tampon and the index finger to push it in.
somepeople find it easier to put it in when you have one leg higher. Ie. on the edge of a bath.

once in it will feel sore and weird. you feel like your walking funny haha!
i was the same!
try it for 2 days, changing every 4 hours (or less) and im swear it will get better. Try it on days you aren't busy and just kicking around the house.

If it still gets sore after 3 days of trying go see a doctor or ask your mum or a trustworthy female.

do not use lubricant though, it can cause problems i have heard

hope you well xxx

Have you tried the lubricant that is supposed to help the tampon slip in? if you havn't, then it's rather obvious why it hurts.

If you have been using lubricants, or if you've tried and it doesn't help at all. I suggest you ask a female adult (mom) or a female friend. Even seek the advice of a doctor.

Hope it helps
