males

Question Posted Sunday June 15 2008, 6:56 pm

Why do most males feel superior? I want to get married but I'm afraid he will treat me differently. I know I want a child at a young age so that will make me the house wife.. but why do they feel like they have to boss you around and treat women like a slave? I want to leave my house because of this. My dad always yells and tells everyone else to do things, when he does nothing himself. If we get everything done and forget one small thing, he blows up and degrades us. Why are men like this? I've only met a few who don't act like this but who knows, they might change. I almost don't want to get married because I don't want him to treat me the way my dad does to my mom.

So somehow just because your dad is an asshole, the entire male population must also be assholes?

With logic like that, no guy will go near you.

EDIT:

Yes you did.

"My dad always yells and tells everyone else to do things, when he does nothing himself. If we get everything done and forget one small thing, he blows up and degrades us."

You then immediately equate that to men in general;

"Why are men like this?"

Firstly, you have to find a man that loves you for you and who WON'T treat you like your dad treats your mom. And those type or men DO exist, the type where they will share the work and will not think he's superior, and actually appreciate you.
And it is TOTALLY normal to feel the way you're feeling because you haven't really seen any other men treating a lady with respect and dignity, so don't take your dad's actions too seriously, everyone is different and all you need to do is find that one man that loves you and treats you the right way, the way you want to be treated! The choice is in your hands, I suggest you date the person you feel is the one or the one you would like to spend your life with, date him for a really long time, until you feel it IS time, because you know he can't and won't do anything you wouldn't like.

Not all men are like this. Women can be the exact same way. It probably seems to you that all men are like that since you are around him all the time and the people he hangs out with are similar to him, but it's just his personality. He seems lazy.

You shouldn't not get married for this reason though. One day you will meet a man who treats you right and has good values. Marry him :)

Good luck! Hope I helped!
