I can relate and understand how difficult this must be for your family to deal with, but think about how hard this is for him.
The best thing your family can do for him with this situation is to see his doctor and/or specialist. They will know more about your cousins autism and his poor sleeping habits.
I have worked with autistic kids since I was in junior high school, but I have never had a bad experience. I don't think many people on this site have had first hand experience with people with disabilities, so you may get some incorrect answers. That is why I suggest first and foremost speaking with his doctor.
If it's the medication that's not working, only the doctor can alter the dosage and/or type of medication.
For now, just try to be sympathetic. I'm sure it's very difficult for you to do so because you are around it constantly, but there isn't much your cousin can do to help with his fits - it's just part of his disability.
I understand his actions and the effects they have on you and your family, but this is a problem to take to his doctor.
Yes, I know I'm repeating myself, but I feel that the best advice you're going to get from the people on this site is to see the doctor since every case is different, and only his doctor and you, his family, knows what is right for him. ]
