Question Posted Saturday June 14 2008, 8:51 pm

Okay, my birthday is on Monday, but my family had to celebrate it today. My mom gave me my "big" present today... it was a camera. I ALREADY HAVE A CAMERA. sure, my old ones a piece of crap but like seriously! She wasted like $200.00 of my birthday present on something i don't even want. It's pissing me off. Should i tell her i don't want it? Thats easier said than done. So i don't know what to do. PLEAASEEE helpp!

You're crazy. If I wanted a camera for my birthday, it would have to be a joint present from several memebers of my family, and I definitely wouldn't be getting many others.

You said it yourself, your old camera wasn't very good, and your mother obviously thought she was doing something nice by getting you a brand new one.

I imagine your mother would be very hurt if she were to read this question, because it's very rude and ungrateful of you. Be thankful for what you have, you haven't lost anything whatsoever, you've just gained a brand new camera - why is that at all bad?

sorry but this has to be said. I have to agree with the other answer. you sound very selfish about this. your mom bought you a 200 dollar camera and you are a teenager! just accept what you got and stop whining. i could understand being disapointed but why pissed? be thnkful and move on

You should be thankful you got anything at all, with the way today's economy is going and the rising cost of gas. You mom obviously seen how much you used the other camera and decided to give you an upgrade.

I'd like to know how you figured it was your money? Did you earn the money and then hand it to them to buy you a present? If not you have nothing to bitch about. If you worked to earn that money then you may have a case in my opinion, to say something but be respectful if you do. Otherwise just be thankful you got anything at all.
