when you go to get your eyebrows waxed, what do they ask you? ive never been in my life or seen it happen or talked to anybody who has ever got them waxed. and i have this picture that is how i want my eyebrows, can i bring it? but yea. i just want to know what the lady will ask me. and how long it will take. and what all they do. (:
WHat do they ask you? They ask you if you are ready for them to do it and if it hurts.
You can bring a picture, but the are probably not going to go by it. You eyebrows will only look good if they are shaped to fit your head, not somebody elses. It is exactly like a haircut. When you bring in a picture, the hairdresser tweaks it to look good on you.
Waxing usually takes 10-20 minutes, depending on how much work you need done on your eyebrows.
First, they sit you on a chair. You lay your head back. The person puts this hot wax on your eyebrow. Then, they get the paper and rip it off. They keep doing this until your eyebrows are finished. After, they put on this cooling stuff that makes your face feel better.

And once youre in the chair, it takes almost NO time at all!
What theyll do is they might ask you if youre sensitive to pain, Id say yes. It doesnt make much of a difference so far as beauty goes.
They might use a special wax for sensitive skin, or give you a bit of numbing spray. The wax feels soo good when its warm. Lol xD
But they pull the paper off reallly quick, and normally I get skeptical when people try to comfort me and say 'oh its just like a pinch'..
but Im honest "D
and the more you get your brows waxed, the less and less it will hurt and the more fun itll be! Really.

If you have a picture, there's no reason why you can't bring it along. If you want it, they will do it. They'll just give you their opinion along with it.
The process itself isn't long. A few minutes. Doesn't really hurt and it's nothing to worry about. [ thelaura's advice column | Ask thelaura A Question ]
ccupcake07 answered Monday June 9 2008, 3:36 pm: They ask you questions like "do you want an arch" or " do you just want a shape up" or what not. If you bring a picture of eyebrows that you like, they can do that for you. [ ccupcake07's advice column | Ask ccupcake07 A Question ]
Uniq_The_Geek answered Monday June 9 2008, 2:31 pm: lol well i live in NY and umm all they really do is make you sit down...grab the wax and take the strip and peel it off the area... if u want your eyebrows a certain way, you can bring the paper and tell them to do it the way its seen in the picture and if its possible they'll do it.. but if you dont bring the picture theyll probably just ask do u want it thick thin long in legth or short. good luck
schochie16 answered Monday June 9 2008, 1:23 pm: All they really ask you is questions about your life. They want you to feel less scared so they talk to you about things totally different then what they're doing. Bring the picture of what you want your eyebrows to look like. If they don't think it will look good, try comming up with something that would together. It depends on how bad your eyebrows are. basicly they put hot wax on the parts where you want no hair of your eyebrows and then put paper on it then rip it off really fast. It hurts at first because you expect it to be worse then it really is but then after the first one its okat. Personally, I think that tweezing hurts more then waxing.
