Laptop Internet
I'm planning on buying a laptop in about a month or so and before this I have always had dial up internet on my computer. I was wondering if there is any kind of internet I can get for my laptop that dosen't go through the phone line and that I don't need to have a contract thing with in case I have to cancel it. If someone could write me if they know of something, that would be great. Thanks :)

oh yeah, same thing happened with me. lol.
i had dialup, and i got a new laptop. and it doesn't have dialup!
i got at&t bellsouth internet. i'm not really sure about the contract thing, but i think maybe you could cancel it within the first week if it doesn't work right. i don't know, but they gave us a great deal, it includes internet for both our laptops at a cheap price. let me know what you do.

most laptops these days come with wifi, you will be able to scan for wireless networks in your area to connect to. some people have public ones, some buisnesses, like starbucks, let you buy a day of access for relatively cheap.
