I don't know who said blink 182 but they're a dumbass.
For a fashion show type thing, I would suggest Benny Benassi, Paul Oakenfield, Rob Dougan, etc.
There's a plethora of techno songs out there. Just make sure for fashion music, that the bass is not too heavy and it's not too fast. Get a beat that's about the speed the models would walk to.

Cascada would be great for a fashion show. Her music is very pop-techno and she has some great remixes of other songs.
