It's not that you shouldn't or can't, it's just that it is kind of gross for the boy and can make a little bit of a mess. In my opinion, I would say not to do it, but if you want to then more power to you.

it doesn't really matter. it's just kinda gross. especially for the boy. but if he's up for it and is comfortable doing it, then go head. my boyfriend has done it to me but i was at the end of mine so it wasn't that bad.
