Which one first?

Question Posted Sunday May 18 2008, 4:20 pm

I was wondering if anyone knows which to do first...Eat and then Exercise or Exercise and then eat. I was also wondering how long you should exercise each day and which types to do. It is almost time to hit the pool, so i need something to help with abs and legs. Does anyone know if the routines in Seventeen and CosmoGirl work? Please write back if anyone has any suggestions. Thank you!

Eat a little as in a healthy snack such as nuts, beans, or any other protein foods. Then exercise, then eat a full meal when finished. Afterwards if you feel good then do a few stretches or so. For abs and leg work I would check out this website-

This site pretty much answers your "When to eat" question.

As to getting in shape, you should not have to limit yourself on what you do. Running is always a good option for both legs and abs, as is lunges, squats, biking, calve raises, etc. Joining a weight program at your school or gym would require good equipment for those activities. As for your core, buying an exercize ball would be your best bet. You get both extention and flextion when doing sit ups on the ball, which targets your abs more. You also have more options, such as balancing, and pushups. Here are a couple of options you could do. Remember to always listen to your body, and stop when you feel like you've had enough.
